Filmmaker & Visual Storyteller
Shinyoung Kim is an independent film director, screenwriter, and editor, currently based in Los Angeles. She was born in Seoul, South Korea, and her family immigrated to the United States when she was 15. Being a product of two different cultures and a storyteller, she is interested in exploring the truth and beauty that are inherent in the contradictions of societies. She observes, captures and shares the voices of the overlooked through visual storytelling, hoping to offer a new perspective and experience for the audience.
